CAIU Students Visit Farabi Hub Innovation Center in Almaty

On June 11, 2026, students of the Department of Engineering and Information Technologies of Central Asian Innovation University, accompanied by the head of the Robotics Club, Omar Nurbek, took part in an educational visit to Almaty. During the trip, they visited Farabi Hub, the Center for Innovative Products and High-Tech Projects at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The main purpose of the visit was to introduce students to modern technologies, innovative developments, and new opportunities in the field of robotics.

During the excursion, the students learned about the activities of Farabi Hub and received detailed information about the scientific and technological projects being implemented at the center.

Farabi Hub is a modern innovation platform that serves as a bridge between science, education, and business.

Particular interest was generated by the robotics laboratory, where students observed the principles of robotic systems operation, programming and automated control processes, as well as the application of artificial intelligence technologies.

Laboratory specialists shared insights into current trends in robotics, discussed the competencies required of modern engineers and IT professionals, and answered students’ questions.

The visit enabled students to gain practical experience, expand their knowledge of advanced technologies, and better understand current developments in the fields of information technology and robotics.

The Department of Engineering and Information Technologies plans to continue organizing similar scientific and educational activities aimed at developing the professional competencies of future specialists.
