Professor D.K. Durdiev held two lectures for students of the Department of Engineering and Information Technology, as well as the Department of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science.
The first lecture was devoted to the general concepts of differential equations, including equations with separable variables and homogeneous equations. The students got acquainted with the basic terms and approaches to solving differential equations, such as normal systems and Cauchy problems. Methods for solving equations with separable variables and examples illustrating these methods were analyzed.
The second lecture was devoted to equations reducible to homogeneous and generalized homogeneous differential equations. The professor considered the conditions under which equations can be transformed into homogeneous ones, and approaches to solving generalized homogeneous equations, including the substitution method and other transformations. Examples have shown ways to solve these equations and demonstrated important cases where such equations are applied.
These lectures allowed students to deepen their knowledge in the field of differential equations and master methods that will be useful both in further academic disciplines and in professional activities.
