The mission of the department is to train specialists with extensive fundamental knowledge, initiative, adaptable to modern requirements. From 2012 to the present day, the department is headed by G. Sh.Zhumagulova, candidate of Psychological Sciences, acting associate professor.

In 2021, the Department of” humanitarian disciplines “was renamed the Department of” general pedagogy and psychology”. The institute named after academician M. Saparbayev and the international humanitarian and Technical University were united and formed as a result of the reorganization into the “Innovation University of Central Asia”.

Members of the department received various awards for their work in the development of pedagogical education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Three teachers were awarded the badge Y. Altynsarin, six teachers were awarded the badge “excellence in Education”, four teachers of the department were awarded the badge “honorary worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan”.

Evidence of the positive dynamics of the personnel potential of the department is that 2 teachers of the department are awarded the title of “the best teacher of the University”, 2 teachers are academicians of the International Academy of informatization.

Today, the members of the department work and share their invaluable experience: Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences Sikhimbayev I. B., candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Nurakhov E. K., candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Mambetaliyev T. M., candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Sadirmekova zh.B. The scientific growth of the department is observed in the improvement of personnel, multilateral methodological activities of the Department.

The multi-aspect activity of the department is carried out in the direction of educational, methodological, research, educational work. The department has an expanded scientific and methodological seminar. During his work, the seminar presented the results of research research, reports of domestic and foreign scientists.

The department carries out close international relations with leading scientific and educational centers of the CIS and far abroad, most of the members of the Department actively participate in international conferences, international projects. The results of research are used in the educational process — contained in the content of lecture and laboratory–practical classes. The department conducts various social and educational work. Students of the department take an active part in annual student conferences, take prizes in university and Republican competitions.

The mission of the specialty is to train highly qualified pedagogical personnel of the primary level, with high social and civic responsibility, capable of carrying out professional activities in the design and organization of the pedagogical process; in the organization of subjective activity, managing the process of forming a common culture and developing the personality of Primary School students;

On November 13-14, 2021, an international SYMPOSIUM ON SOCIAL SCIENCES AND INTERNATIONAL LAW was held in Antalya, Turkey, organized by Ankara State University (Ankara, Turkey), CAG University (Adana, Mersin Province, Turkey), as well as the international publishing house ASTANA PUBLICATIONS.   At which, by invitation, members of the Department of General Pedagogy and Psychology, Ph.D. Dzhumagulova G.Sh., Ph.D. Munashova Zh.B., senior lecturer Yessimova A.E. actively participated, the symposium covered various problems in the field of social sciences and law. Scientists from various countries, such as Azerbaijan, Iran, UAE, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, etc. took an active part in the symposium. The participants of the symposium were presented with informative and interesting reports on modern problems of social sciences and law. Various offline – online presentations, video presentations, etc. were also offered. An interesting and informative report on the topic “Modern innovative trends in psychology” was made by Candidate of Ps.sciences Dzhumagulova G.Sh. The speech was received with more attention and numerous questions than the participants expressed their attention to innovative methods in education. The report of Yessimova A.E. and Munashova Zh.B. “Mangilik el-turkitildes halyktarynyn rukhani kundylygy” was also received with great interest and attention. The speeches were accompanied by a constant exchange of opinions and dialogues on the most acute and pressing problems of education and the modern world as a whole.  The reports of Dzhumagulova G.Sh., Yesimova A.E. Munashova Zh.B. were awarded with certificates. These teachers additionally completed an international scientific internship in the amount of 72 hours. Which is confirmed by certificates. At the symposium, the reports were presented in English, Arabic, Turkish, Russian, Kazakh, Uzbek.The proceedings will be published in the Proceedings of the Symposium by ASTANA PUBLICATIONS, which is an internationally recognized publishing house. As well as articles and reports of the conference are additionally planned to be published in the journals ASEAD and Public Law Archive .

Студенттердің the practice of student internships is a very important stage in the preparation of a future specialist, since in its process students acquire the necessary skills and abilities of future professional activity. How it is organized and how responsibly the students themselves approach it, largely depends on the effectiveness of the practice, that is, their readiness for the teaching profession.

The department is working on the preparation of a project for the implementation of joint educational activities with Tambov State University named after G. R. Derzhavin (Tambov, Russian Federation) for the EP “pedagogy and psychology”, “pedagogy and methods of primary education”.

The teaching staff of the department has joint publications at Scientific and practical conferences of Tambov State University. An agreement was signed with the Kuban State University of Physical Culture, Sports and tourism for the EP” pedagogy and psychology “and” pedagogy and methods of Primary Education ” (01.09.2019).

 Teachers of the Department” humanitarian disciplines ” Dzhumagulova G. Sh. Nurzhanova G., Beisekova R. T., Zhanibekova G. O. published scientific articles in the scientific and methodological journal “Physical Culture, Sports-Science and practice” of the Kuban State University of Physical Culture and tourism.

The Department traditionally conducts international scientific and methodological seminars within the framework of the state budgetary scientific topic” scientific aspects of the psychological pedagogical foundations of socialization and application of Adapted Physical Culture of children with special needs”. The seminars are attended by qualified teaching staff, undergraduates and students of the Department.

Graduates of the department successfully work in various educational institutions of the region and in various educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In addition, thanks to the assimilation of modern psychological and pedagogical knowledge, the students of the Department showed excellent results and won prizes at the Republican subject Olympiads.

Educational programs in specialties are formed jointly with employers and their recruitment requirements. If we turn to statistics, it can be noted that 90% of graduates of the EP “pedagogy and methods of primary education” and 80% of the EP “pedagogy and psychology” are officially employed. This is facilitated by the “job fair”, which the university traditionally holds with the participation of employers of the region, who advise and accept future university graduates for vacancies. Most employers and their representatives are graduates of the Department.

The Department equips graduates with scientific knowledge in accordance with the standards and best traditions of the Higher School. They produce professionals who are competent and competitive in the educational space.
